2018 WINNERS

The NSW Minister for Innovation & Better Regulation, The Hon. Matt Kean presented the BigInsights Data & AI Innovation Awards to leaders using Data & AI to drive innovation.

The BigInsights Data & AI Innovation Awards recognise teams & end users that are doing ground-breaking work using Data, AI & IoT to deliver business outcomes. Snowflake sponsored the awards and the event was held at General Assembly campus in Sydney.

The Awards were judged by a team of independent industry experts that conferred 6 Awards that clearly demonstrated best practices in developing and deploying Data & Analytics or IoT techniques.

2018 BigInsights Data & AI Innovation Awards Results:




Australia’s well-known boutique Data, AI/ML analytics consulting & advisory firm BigInsights is the convener of these annual awards. These are the 3rd year that awards have been held and have been supported by Federal and NSW Innovation Ministers.

Atul Anjea, Partner and Awards Director at BigInsights said, “While the ability to use Data, IoT and AI has been talked about extensively for innovation, little has been discussed about benefits being realised by the early Australian pioneers in industry and startups. We acknowledge and congratulate these leaders in startups, government, research and enterprises that are using technology for data driven innovation”

The BigInsights Data & AI Innovation Awards recognise teams & end users that are doing ground-breaking work using Data Analytics & IoT to deliver business outcomes. (www.dataawards.org) KPMG hosted the event at their new offices in Barangaroo, Darling Harbour

The Awards attracted interest from over 30 organisations across the world, from which 18 entries were received. They were judged by a team of independent industry experts that conferred 5 Awards that clearly demonstrated best practices in developing and deploying Analytics or IoT techniques.

Application


Awards will recognise innovative projects and teams that have implemented innovative Data Analytics & IoT projects in the following categories:


Each Entry is evaluated on its own merits with the Judges conferring as many or few Awards as they deem meet the criteria of Innovation, Potential and Performance (delivery of Business outcomes). Each of these is explained in detail in the Entry Form.


Timeline:
Awards are open for nominations till 7th of September 2018 and Award presentation on 28th of September 2018.

Judges


The Awards will be judged by a select number of independent industry leaders in the Data, AI and IoT field. There will be between 7-10 Judges involved in the judging process. The current panel includes:


Confidential Information and potential Conflicts of Interest Information provided by Nominees is kept confidential through Judges signing a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) which protects the Nominee. The NDA also ensures there are no potential Conflicts of Interest during the judging process. Nominees may request that individual Judges do not participate in the judging of their entry.
